Look at what has changed
If you are taking over a building, altering its water system or changing how it is used, raise those changes when discussing the existing assessment. Explain what is different and provide the previous report where available.
Use the current guidance
HSE calls for regular review of the risk assessment and control arrangements. A useful review considers whether the system description is current, responsibilities are clear and control measures are working. A generic calendar reminder does not replace those questions.
Prepare the relevant information
Useful background includes the date and scope of the previous report, changes to plant or pipework, occupancy changes, monitoring records and any new concerns. You do not need to diagnose the issue before contacting us.
Ask for a clearly defined scope
If an existing assessment identifies sampling, monitoring, tank work or plumbing requirements, share those findings with AP Environmental. Include the buildings involved, access arrangements and any deadline so the practical work can be discussed.
